Subject: A New Year of Growth & Discovery Awaits Students at Royal Legends Academy!

Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome to a brand-new year and a fresh term at Royal Legends Academy! We hope you enjoyed a restful and joyful holiday season, filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments with family and friends.

As we reflect on the remarkable journey of last term, our hearts overflow with gratitude for your unwavering support and active participation in the life of our academy. Last term was a vibrant tapestry of learning, creativity, and social development—a true testament to what we can achieve together.

We celebrated Girl-Child Day with pride and purpose, empowering our young women to dream big and break barriers. Our Yoruba Language Practical brought culture to life as students mastered the art of preparing ewedu and amala, while the Home Economics class delighted us with mouth-watering meat pies and small chops. The Beauty Pageant dazzled us yet again, proving that with each year, our students shine brighter. And who could forget the festive class parties that strengthened bonds and ended the year on a note of joy and connection?

The Academy sports talented male and female also won the first position in Relay - Race and third position for the girls during the Keme-Balogun School Inter House Day competition that took place on November 27th, 2025. 

This term, we are raising the bar even higher! At Royal Legends Academy, we remain committed to nurturing not just academic excellence, but also real-world skills, creative expression, and career readiness. Here’s a glimpse of what’s in store:

🔍 Skills & Career Path Discovery Seminar – Guiding students toward their passions and future professions. A day dedicated to self-discovery, passion and career -paths mapping for students. 

🎬History Cinema Day – An immersive exploration of the Slave Trade and Transatlantic Trade era in Nigeria and West Africa through powerful visual storytelling for JSS1 to JSS3 students. And to foster a thoughtful yet comfortable environment, students will enjoy the cinema event fun with popcorn 🍿 and drinks. The day will conclude with curated self-care videos to support emotional processing and well-being after engaging with this intense historical subject.

🧱Brick Chair Moulding and Balloon-Powered Vehicle STEM projects. A practical Hands-on engineering and STEM innovation project for our budding builders.

🎭Moremi Drama Production – Our Debate and Drama Clubs will bring to life the legendary story of Princess Moremi Ajasoro of Ile-Ife. This powerful production will celebrate her extraordinary sacrifice and strategic bravery, which, according to Yoruba history, saved her people from conquest and preserved countless lives. The drama will feature a vibrant village marketplace scene, showcasing the rich tapestry of pre-colonial Yoruba culture, trade, and community life before it was threatened. This project is a deep dive into heritage, courage, and leadership.

✍️Creative Writers Club Thematic Prose Anthology – This term, our young authors will explore powerful contemporary themes, including bullying and sci-fiction narratives on survival or combating food shortages caused by insecurity. Their original stories, poems, and essays will be compiled into a published anthology, with a special Book Launch Event to celebrate their voices and achievements as published authors.

🧥Hospitality & Science Practicals – From event management to lab coat making for our SS3 Science students, event hosting skills to club members. 

💻Coding Club Games Design Project – Where creativity meets technology. A project for designing short video games by our digital talented designers. 

🎵Music Orchestra Performance Project – Harmonizing Rhythmic talents to Inspire, Create and Connect.

♟️Best Chess Championship Inter- School Games – Sharpening minds and fostering sportsmanship.

🎙️Radio FM Talk – Discussing student freedom to pursue career callings in a digital age, beyond parental control.

🌍United Nations Special Days Assembly – Promoting global citizenship, moral consciousness, emotional well-being and inclusive values.
