The Power of Participation: How Prefects-Leadership Engagement Shapes Students at Royal Legends Academy.

Last session’s electrifying Prefects campaign and election at Royal Legends Academy did more than just select new leaders—it showcased the transformative power of the academy best school Prefects Engagement Platform. From vibrant posters to excitable debates, every aspect of the process reinforced why student participation in electoral mentorship programs matters in building a thriving school community.

A Platform for Voice and Choice: the election was more than a popularity contest; it was a practical lesson for best secondary school democracy. Candidates for the various prefects positions presented clear manifestos, sparking discussions on issues like academic innovations and support for learning issues, school social events, sanitation, E-library innovation and general library improvements, Blended Learning innovation, and deeper Creative writing, Arts and STEM extra – curricular programs etc.

The Prefects- Leadership Engagement Platform mentored by the Proprietors, Principal, Heads of Departments, and the School Counselor ensured every student had a voice—whether through voting, questioning candidates, or sharing ideas for the school’s growth.

Posters, Debates, and Active Participation: Walking through the academy’s corridors last session, students were greeted by colorful campaign posters, each conveying unique visions for leadership- allowing candidates to defend their ideas , while giving the students- voters opportunities to make informed choices.

Thus, the Royal Legends Academy students engagement empowered all students to think critically, articulate their needs, and hold representatives accountable.

Leadership That Reflects the Student Body: The winners- Head Boy- Elnathan Ibe, Head Girl- Udoh Peniel, Academic Prefect- Adajo Emmanuel, Social Prefect- Oshiguwa Ayanfe. Sports Prefect- Afolabi Abdul Ganiu, Library Prefect- Sotuyi Joy, Labour Prefect- Godwin Chinaza, Health Prefect- Oke Olashile Jasmine etc.

The Assistant Prefects: Asst. Head-boy- God’swill Akhidenor, Head-girl Bello Darasimi, Asst. Social Prefect- Feranmi Adeyanju, Asst.Sport Prefect- Adeboyo Quadri, Asst. Health Prefect- Abdulkareem Robiat, Environmental Prefect-Azume Subomi, and Asst.Labour Prefect- Nwanbuwanne Arinze etc.

These prefects elected for various portfolios—were chosen not just for their charisma but for their actionable plans. Their victories reflect the priorities of the students body, proving that when young people are engaged, their voices shape real outcomes.
