Welcome to a New Term of Excellence at Royal Legends Academy

Dear Royal Legends Families, 

We extend a warm, enthusiastic welcome to all our returning students and a special royal greetings to those joining our esteemed Academy family for the first time. 

This term promises to be our most innovative and inspiring yet, packed with opportunities for your children to discover their passions, hone their talents, and step confidently onto the path of excellence. 

Igniting Innovation: Our re-imagined Clubs Programs are offering elevated extracurricular programs beyond the traditional clubs obtainable elsewhere.  

We have designed dynamic, project-based experiences within each club focused on transforming hobbies into powerful learning journeys and skills development platforms for our students. 

So prepare your children’s  mind to be immersed in any club of their choices and passion. Please note that your child has the ultimate privilege to switch club every term to enable him/her acquire a well rounded personal skills development throughout his/her secondary school education in Royal Legends Academy. 

1. STEM Club:  an innovative learning platform beyond classroom theory!
Students will tackle real-world challenges through hands-on robotics, sustainable engineering projects, competitive coding challenges, and scientific investigations  programs etc.

2. Hospitality & Fashion Club: This unique club blends culinary arts, event planning, hauteur couture design, with  professional etiquette programs immersed in reenactment of restaurants designed and run by students, fashion showcases featuring student-created pieces, and workshops on styling and gracious hosting. 

3. Creative Writers' & Book Club: A Literary Luminary Society focused on unleashing the power of  words in poetry, drama and prose writing, and the new normal -Skit Writing! The club will groom Students to write and complete their original stories, poems, and scripts. As a creative project-based platform,  the club will organize workshops, host author visits,  produce podcasts or a student literary magazine with parental collaboration in publishing an Anthology of the works across the literary genres of drama, Prose and Poetry. 

4. Drama, Choreography & Music Club: This vibrant club will integrate acting, dance, and music as part of its core mission to develop talented students skills in theater and dramatic art.  The club will co-create original productions, compose scores, design choreography, learn stagecraft and technical production, and musical performances, alongside dramatic performance of skits- the new digital entertainment normal.

5. Debate, Press & Public Speaking Club: The Oratory Arena for Current News presentation, and Public Speaking. Students will research cutting-edge topics, engage in structured debates (Model UN style), craft persuasive speeches, practice impromptu speaking, participate in inter-school competitions, and learn the art of impactful communication skills for any audience mix. 

6. Chess Club: Students will receive regular coaching on strategic  conquering  techniques in chess game! Beyond friendly matches, students will learn advanced tactics, analyze famous games, participate in tournaments, explore chess variants, and understand how chess strategy applies to problem-solving skills in real  life.

7. Entrepreneurship Club: Where ambition meets execution. This is not just a club; it's our academy's launchpad for the next generation of visionary leaders. Here, we move beyond theory to build real ventures, forge powerful connections, and transform innovative ideas into lasting legacies.

8. Preparedness for Excellence: please encourage your wards to be daily organized,  imbibe the habits of timely completion of assignments, participate actively  in class, and to exhibit a proactive approach to learning.  You might help  or encourage them to pack school bags the night before and ensure they have the necessary materials for learning inside their bags. 

9. Neatness and Good Grooming: we take pride in our uniform! Please ensure that your wards uniforms, sports wears, lunchbox and shoes are clean, pressed, and worn correctly. Neatness extends to personal belongings, workbooks, and respect for our shared school commitment to learning in a clean environment.  

10. Respect for Rules & Authority: collaborate with us in reinforcing the importance of listening to teachers and staff, following classroom and school-wide procedures, and understanding that rules exist to create a safe, productive, and fair learning space for all.

11. Cultivating Good Manners: we want all our students to champion good manners at all times towards their school mates, teachers and all management and non management staff, and visitors to our school. 
Whilst appreciating your valued collaboration in raising future empowered leaders, we wish our students a wonderful holiday filled with joy and relaxation, and a  new session of exciting learning and new adventures.

The new NERDC Curriculum Update: 

Royal Legends Academy is poised to implement the new NERDC curriculum, designed to equip students with future-ready skills in technology, entrepreneurship, and digital literacy. As we await the final directives and implementation guidelines from the Lagos State Government and other relevant education boards, our teachers have undergone comprehensive training, and we are ready to seamlessly integrate these exciting updates—including coding, robotics, and project-based learning—once officially adopted in Lagos state and the entire country. Therefore we encourage you to support this journey and work with us to build the next generation of visionary leaders.
